Beautiful apartment beautifully decorated for 4 on the Quays of Bordeaux

## ACCOMODATION

Apartment of 55 m² closed to the International Museum of Vines. Perfect localisation to live your own Bordeaux experience and discover the city.
On the 2nd floor of a typical Bordeaux building, the apartment has been renovated and made with charm.
You will find a well equipped kitchen then a large living-room living room with a sofa, a round table and a TV.
WC are separated and there is a shower in the bathroom. Then you will find a first room and a second with double beds and cupboards.
A cot can be provided at a cost of €20 per stay and €30 with a high chair.
Wifi is free.
The city is ready to welcome you onboard!

## DEPOSIT

A bank imprint of €250 will be requested as part of the rental. In the form of a payment link and managed by the secure online service Swikly, it is compulsory and must be made before arrival in the accommodation. The amount is not blocked or debited and does not affect the maximum amount you can use your credit card. You will only have to pay a service fee of €3,30.
Within 7 days of your departure, and subject to compliance with the general terms and conditions of sale, as well as the return of the property in perfect condition, this operation is automatically cancelled.

## EXCHANGE WITH TRAVELERS

One of our concierges will contact you on the day of your arrival to organise your check-in.
Arrivals are normally from 4 pm to 8:30, however it is possible to arrive later, on request, with a supplement of €10 per additional hour.

## GETTING AROUND

From Mérignac airport:
Take the tram A or bus 1 from Mérignac aéroport Station to Quinconces Station then take Tram B to Cours du Médoc and walk to the apartment.

From Saint Jean Railway Station:
Take the Tram C or D to Quinconces, then change to Tram B to Cours du Médoc and walk 100 m to the apartment.

To park your vehicle, parking spots in the street is free only from 7 pm to 9 am and on Sundays and bank holidays.
The price for parking is €20 per day.

## THE NEIGHBORHOOD

The perfect setting for a short stay or a long weekend.
The beautiful buildings are a great indication of a prosperous time in Bordeaux. The land once belonged to a former Carthusian monastery (Chartreux in French, which leads to the present name, Les Chartrons), drained by the Dutch in the 17th century. It used to be was the home of English, Scottish, Irish, Scandinavian and German merchants who built beautiful houses and cellars. Cours Xavier Arnozan (previously called the Pavé des Chartrons) is one of the city’s most aristocratic and elegant 18th century streets. It was still very much a sign of social status to live on the “Pavé” in the past century.
Shops, boutiques are open all over the weekend plus an outlet factory, The Quai des Marques which is a convenient location with car park and tramway stop nearby where you will be able to shop and brunch at an outdoor café with the view of the Jacques Chaban-Delmas bridge which makes it worth coming all year long. “It’s chic to spend less”! says the tagline

Great location - ok amenities
The location of the apartment was great. Just outside of the main centre (15min max walk to mirror pond) and close to some good restaurants.
However, no air con in the apartment meant it got really hot making it uncomfortable to sleep. The blinds in on of the bedrooms were also broken so light poured in at the crack of dawn making it hard to sleep. The main issue was the bathroom – being so close to the bedrooms and having sliding slatted doors meant there was very little privacy. Although no one could see in anyone could hear your bathroom movements.
Also the check in time is latest 8:30pm. Any later you have to pay 10eur cash for someone to deliver the keys – and check out time is really early 10am with no option to leave cases anywhere. (We managed to pay to leave bags at a hotel close by through nannybag)

Great location but accommodation only adequate.
The apartment is advertised as including bicycles. It used to be but apparently isn’t anymore. Given that this was a major selling point for us it was disappointing to find out that the apartment was not as advertised. There are a few chipped items in the kitchen and the manual window blind in one of the bedrooms is broken. We arrived to find the apartment had not been cleaned after the previous guests. Guilhem, who let us into the apartment and was very pleasant, sorted this for us but it would have been nice to arrive and relax as opposed to wait around whilst people came in and cleaned.
The location is great and overall the apartment is adequate for a short stay.

Abbiamo soggiornato 3 giorni a Quai des chartrons. Appartamento perfetto, pulito luminoso e ben arredato. Location splendida, vicinissima alla fermata del tram B ideale per andare sia in centro che alla Citè du vin.
Passeggiare a piedi in riva alla Garonne, fare aquisti all’outlet, arrivare fino a Piazza della Borsa. Tutto perfetto.

· Check in und Check out war fürchterlich, keine Antwort bekommen, obwohl wir 1 Woche vorher öfters mitgeteilt hatten, dass wir bitte einen früheren Check in (mit Aufpreis) möchten. Keine Antwort bekommen. Check in war dann um 17 Uhr. Die Person kam um 1 Stunde zu spät. Keine Erklärung wie man ein Fahrrad (war bei der Wohnung inklusive) ausleihen kann, wo Mülltonnen stehen etc. Sonst kleinere Mängel in der Wohnung: Bei der Dusche läuft das Wasser nicht ab, Glühbirne von Lampen fehlten, Jalousien gingen in einem Zimmer nicht auf. Es waren einfach kleinere Mängel vorhanden. Aber im grossen und ganzen hat es gut gepasst.
